Brushed tricot fabrics made of 100% polyester have one side with a raised loop nap designed to improve the softness of the fabric against the skin.  In some cases, hook and loop fasteners will adhere somewhat to the brushed surface.  100% polyester brushed tricot fabrics are to some degree inherently flame retardant without the addition of chemical flame retardant additives.
